I Got Scammed $700, Here is Why Dancefestopia Should Stop Using Static QR Codes.
THE TICKETS SHOWN IN THE VIDEO ARE NO LONGER VALID, AS CONFIRMED BY DANCEFESTOPIA ORGANIZERS (BORDA PRODUCTIONS) THIS MORNING.
I am posting this to bring awareness to the danger of buying secondhand static QR code tickets, advocate for a change to dynamic (constantly updating) QR code tickets, and provide evidence of the scam committed by ex-member pure-resource-4531, aka Nina.
I created a very thorough file documenting her scam, but could only send it confidentially to select individuals such as the admin catmuffin, Paypal, and Borda, the organizers of Dancefestopia, since I couldn't show the QR codes of active tickets publicly.
After Borda’s investigation, they suspected fraud and canceled the tickets. Realizing this meant I could post the document, I decided to make a video explaining what happened.
Be safe when purchasing. Hopefully, we will see dynamic (constantly updating) QR code tickets used in the future. Thanks to the admins for swiftly removing scammers from this subreddit.
