My first impression of my first playthrough of DDLC!!

Alr I'ma sum up things here

Just started playing DDLC and was streaming gameplay to a friend over call This was SO fun, we had a blast constantly inserting our commentary and memeing everything and everyone We were voice acting all the dialogue and my throat is RAW from nonstop laughing and trying to do different voices for each of them

I know I'm being lulled into a false sense of security, I keep being reminded of that, but I'm actually so invested in the characters that I can't help but be so immersed into the gameplay. Ironically, they're actually the furthest thing from two dimensional.

We've taken away a few things from this: - There's a lot of dialogue and text with ominous implications that subtly foreshadow a lot you won't notice if you're not looking closely for it - The sprites are definitely uncanny valley. They're completely anatomically disproportionate and I wholly believe that's intentional. The heads are too big for their bodies, they have almost no noses, their eyes are spaced too far apart, their necks are too long, their hands are too small... It doesn't help that the sprites remaining the same, staring at you for so long... it just makes you feel unsafe. - Yuri is a jerk. - Sayori is best girl and deserves so much love and so much therapy and tries so hard to help everyone and her dynamic with the MC and her friends is so precious and everything about her is adorable and I want to hug her so bad - my heart stops whenever the music stops for whatever reason. this is going to be used against me in the future, I KNOW IT. I gotta brace myself for the glitches to come...
