Should games against non-NCAA/NAIA teams count for D1 team records?
As you all know, a D1 team can choose to play 4 non-D1 teams and have them count on their record. But while D2 and NAIA teams are at least partially scholarship funded and often times have players from D1 teams that down transferred, the lower teams are completely uncompetitive and the money goes straight to some administrator who isn't good at their job (with the exception of the state schools and some specific private D3's). Since the 2017-18 season there have been 38 games when a D2 team has won, 15 games that a NAIA team won, and 7 games where a D3 team has won. Only 1 game did a NCCAA team win and none where a USCAA team won.
