I woke up with a sudden unexpected pain in my neck one morning two months ago and it has not gone away. It certainly has gotten a bit better but I am still dealing with this. I have knots/trigger points in the side of my neck and on the back of my neck. My SCM muscle and Traps at the very top near my skull are so tight i feel them pulling on my head. When i rotate and stretch my head i can feel them pulling. I have constant facial tightness that is pulling on my teeth. I got a bite guard recently that seems to be taking some pressure off my teeth but the head tightness is still there. I foam roll and use a tennis ball and use a massage gun on my neck (not occipitals). I am constantly massaging my TMJ joint and around it and my cheek bones. I can feel pressure when i rub certain places on my collarbones and shoulders. Sometimes I feel weirdness in my sinuses and eardrums too. When i tilt my head all the way back (looking straight up in a standing or sitting upright position) and stretch my head from side to side, I hear to much cracking and crunching and its pretty painful. Everything else just feels tight and tingly and numbish rather than pain. I also have a weird little bump right on the back of my neck that when i push on it, it moves and jumps around and makes a little thumping sound and feels like a little trigger point. I keep moving and stretching my jaw and my neck and my face hoping something will magically pop back into place. I have been getting deep tissue massage and chiropractic adjustments from one of the best chiro's in the US. I am going to go to my GP and get a recommendation for a PT soon because I feel i am hitting a plateau and haven't seen much progress recently
