I got referred to palliative care today, I need advice.
So, I’m currently being diagnosed with myesthenia gravis, ra, and eds. I have gastroparesis, pots, chronic migraine, vcd, amps, pcos, asthma (I think that’s all but it’s hard to keep track.) I’m currently bedbound and have been for a long time, i’m struggling and unable to perform basic self care tasks. I’m in severe pain and I don’t know what to do. I had an appointment to get help with my RA as my test results came back positive but the dr did a 2 min exam (that he injured me during) and said my test results were probably wrong, then showed me pictures of disfigured hands that were damaged by ra to “prove” I was complaining and am fine. That describes my medical experience as a whole honestly. I’m still in the process of being diagnosed with mg so all I have is the first treatment (mestonin) but I have nothing that’s actually managing the disease. I’m choking, aspirating, and struggling to breathe on the daily. Anyways, I need help but i’m worried palliative care will turn me away. Or call be dramatic. How can I make the best of my appointment and get help? I’ve genuinely considered taking my life recently bc of the lack of support I recieve, I feel so alone. I just wanna feel better💔
