Hip Hop Tamizha concert appreciation

The HHT concert that happened in YMCA was my first ever concert. I didn't have many expectations for the concert, because I was constantly reminded of the ARR debacle, which quite a few of my friends experienced.

Boy was I wrong. I didn't really expect to see the view of the stage clearly since I'd booked tickets in Bronze, but that didn't change much. I enjoyed vibing with my homies and threcrowd were going crazy. I never thought I would dance with strangers! Damn! I never expected this much out of Chennai! HHT was also quite concerned with the audience. He even gave his bottle of electrolytes to a member of the audience who I think had fainted? It was quite a nice touch. Also he sung most of his songs live, which surprised me because I've heard artists are quite notorious for lip syncing. The best parts were: the whole crowd screaming 'adrangotha' and when it drizzled when he started singing 'Vaadi pulla vaadi'.

The cons were however: 1. No dustbins: It was humid and sticky and people bought water left right and centre, but there was no dustbin that I could find to dispose. Holding onto the bottles was an inconvenience.

  1. Slushy ground: It had rained the previous night, so the ground being slushy was obvious, but I wish they'd taken steps to make it better. Atleast the crowd in bronze was a bit spread out, so the slushiest of areas were avoided. The ones that suffered the most were the ones that wore white sneakers to the concert.

  2. No age limit: I saw parents bringing little kids. It's not advisable to bring kids for a concert, there's always a risk for stampedes and the noise is quite loud, it might be harmful for the children. I understand that you can't leave your kids at home, but it's quite unsafe to bring such young kids. Finding a sitter for the kids is much better solution.

Also r/chennai are there any other 'must attend' concerts that I should go for??
