Tank francaise or panthere?

Im getting my first watch as an early PhD graduation gift. Im stuck between the Tank Francaise with diamonds or the two-tone Panthere - both in size small. I like how both look but I cant decide which looks better on me. I love how the tank looks but is it too clunky on my wrist? Maybe the panthere is maybe a better size for wrist but does it look too much like jewelry?

What do you think? Anything to consider about these styles? Any help or suggestions is appreciated!
