Did anyone else ever experience this?

When I was in Grade Nine my mom bought me a women's-sized Love-A-Lot Bear T-Shirt (https://images.app.goo.gl/wao1bRG4AevojNFm9 for the picture of it). I didn't want to wear it to school since I knew nasty comments would be made. Mom made me wear it anyway. It was my homeroom teacher that made a nasty remark to me - she said, "isn't that a little young?" not caring that it was women's sized. I never wore that T-Shirt to school again.

However, since students were always going around wearing shirts with actual curse words on them without being spoken to, I wore a top that didn't have any cursing on the last day of school. It said "Where the @#!* is Prince Charming?!" The same teacher that criticized me for wearing the Love-A-Lot Bear T-Shirt spoke to me about the top I was wearing; she wanted me to go home and change (but never said anything to the students that wore clothes with actual curse words on them). Since it was the last day I would ever be in that school, I looked at her and said, "fine. I'll go home and change. But give me my report card. I'm not coming back." She stared at me in shock; she knew I had her cornered and won - if I went home without my report card, I would tell my mom why when she got home. She said I could stay.

Did anyone else receive mistreatment from people due to their Care Bear items?
