Toyota Dealership Parts gave me the wrong transmission fluid even when I gave them my VIN ( 2015 Toyota Corolla L )

I have a 2015 Toyota Corolla L Sedan .

My car was serviced ( at a local mechanic) for the Transmission fluid around 70k or 75 k many years ago and my dad mainly did it at a local mechanic shop , now it’s almost 150 k .

Recently , because I noticed my transmission shifting gears a bit too harsh, i wanted to change the transmission fluid since I did noticed based on the dipstick that the fluid level was low.

I trusted too much the parts reps and i thought based on my VIN number they would match everything when I asked them for a transmission fluid change equipment.

Unfortunately, I have verified today that I indeed have a 4AT transmission and should have used ATF fluid instead of CVT

However , with the 4L can ( they don’t sell by quart anymore ) , I only put less than half a quart since I knew I would eventually use the entire fluid can to drain and refill .

I am indeed going to make a report possibly because the initial rep gave the estimate first and then another second rep allowed me to purchase even after telling him if everything is a perfect match just in case .

I am aware I am partly at fault as well , however , I don’t know if I should be fuming right now or just hoping my 4AT transmission can endure a whole day ( today I had all day classes from morning to evening at college ) of not immediately draining .

It was thanks to a redditor that replied to my second post about transmission fluid ( this would be my third ) that made me finally check if it’s truly the usual CVT for corollas or something else .

What should I do ? What would you do ? I’m hoping for the best but idk tbh , maybe my transmission is indeed gonna last less eventually than expected.
