are our addresses posted somewhere?

Weird question.

I haven't been sworn in yet, waiting until December so I don't have to pay Bar dues, so I have no address posted on the CA Bar attorney search and I am putting my work location anyway. My home address was never something I wanted published. However, today I received a typed letter, but hand addressed/signed, to my home address (aka snail mail) from a local attorney. I thought it was spam at first. But the letter congratulated me by my full name which I never go by but is on all government documentation and was submitted to the Bar and I searched the attorney and he's real. The letter congratulated me on passing the J24 Bar and said he's looking for an assistant and is in his eighties and retiring soon.

I realize that address information is easy to come by on Spokeo or any other white pages-esque website but this was specific to the Bar exam, which is why it's weird and made me a little spooked. Idk maybe I'm being overly paranoid, but I was just confused as to why it was related to passing the Bar and how he got the information. I have never posted my address online anywhere, so is the Bar giving people's home addresses away for free? Anyone know what's going on here?
