am i the only one having bad experiences with CSL plasma on elmwood?
idk why i tried going back cause i’ve been having issues every time i go. the first time i started going there they sent me home cause i guess 3 hours wasn’t enough time for the new donor process. okay, that’s fine. i go back and the phlebotomist couldn’t stick me the first time so she gave up and sent me home.
next time i was finally able to donate but a different phlebotomist (i do not like her, i guess she’s a supervisor) who did not stick me came over and adjusted the machine without saying anything. i asked her to remove the needle after sitting for over an hour and a half and she refused. everyone who came in after me had already left and i was still sitting there. turns out put the machine on the slowest possible setting. the original person who stuck me sped it up and got me out.
after that i went once more and had another issue so i stopped going for almost a whole year until recently. ofc there’s been issues again.
today i went and after waiting for nearly an hour, the nurse told me i needed a protein sample cause they didn’t get it last time. annoying but i was gonna just deal with it. they couldn’t get it right this time either. so i lost out on a donation and didn’t get paid today.
before sitting down the nurse brought me to the health screening area, in front of the line. i stood exactly where she told me to. when i was standing there i heard in a nasty tone “you need to move over so you’re not in everyone’s way” so i turned around to see the supervisor. i tell her that’s where i was told to stand but i stepped to the side. apparently that was still a problem. she pointed to a literal human being standing at the front of the line and with an attitude said “that’s where the line is and where you need to stand. do you see the sign?” i’m not telling an entire line of people to move so i can be behind the sign, not next to it. i took one more step over and under my breath said “oh my fucking god” which maybe that was wrong of me but her attitude sucks. i’ve never seen her be nice to anybody. i’ve literally seen her snatch someone’s phone out of their hand and hang it up instead of using her words to tell them they can’t do that.
after i sat down to get my finger pricked she came up to me and said “you didn’t need to be so nasty” as if she didn’t approach me with an attitude and tell me to move out of her way.. i told her i was just standing exactly where i was told to go. she said something else about being the supervisor, blah blah but i ignored her and turned around. the employee told me everyone hates her lmao. idk if i’ll be going back ever again.
TLDR: every time i go there’s a problem and i can’t donate or they can’t stick me. the supervisor is rude af for no reason so i don’t think i’ll be going back.
