Beauty Overconsumption

Have you guys watched Hannah Alonzo's latest video? Lately on this sub, there's been a lot of discussion and complaints about beauty Youtubers and TikTokers having too much stuff, or not getting rid of enough in their declutters etc. I found this video super interesting, especially how she prompts us to reframe what we're seeing. It could be that we're witnessing shopping addictions. It could be that these large collections only look unreasonable to us because we're judging them in the context of beauty being purchased for the purpose of wearing; whereas it was actually purchased for the purpose of content creation (which can range from reviewing to rage-baiting). It could be a mixture of these reasons and a bunch of others.

PS: She had Morgan Turner in one of the clips. She didn't mention or discuss her specifically, but I was able to recognise her/her beauty room from the clips.

What are your thoughts?
