Why does Bf2042 get so much hate

I just started playing it so my perspective might be wrong. But ive been enjoying it a lot, the graphics are amazing and I love the climate change theme they were going for. My only problem is that they didnt use the natural disasters mechanic enough. Fighting through hurricanes and sandstorms is really cool. No destructible objectives?? Damn i miss that.

This game has so much potential, the engine is great.
