The Thaletas Way

I'm replaying AC Odyseey and I'm on this quest called The Thaletas Way. He tasks me with finding his father's helment. But after sinking the Athenian fleet and recovering the helment, I don't get the option to give it to him but the option to lie to him. Am I doing something wrong? 🤔
