What is your opinion on traffic wardens?

(Or parking enforcement officers, or whatever they're now called.)

Personally I think they are a necessary evil to stop people from parking where they shouldn't, and to stop congestion. But my opinion might be bias because I don't own a car.

What's everyone else's thoughts on them?
