Why Microsoft, why?
Hi pals.
I got my parents a new Dell desktop computer with Windows 11. Every day, the computer makes my father jump through ninety nine hoops just to log in and begin. On his own, he inevably fails and gets frustrated. I don't blame him. Their old computer was Windows 7, I think, but did not have so many obstacles to logging in.
Do any of you know a way (either officially or unofficially) to dispense with any security log-ins? I tried looking in settings and it said Face ID and Touch ID were disabled. But even those present a barrier. Why do senior citizens who only use their computers at home to visit with grandchildren and look up recipes have to go through so much rigaramaroll?
The reason I updated their computer was so my siblings and I could have remote access when problems occur, but I did not expect the problem to be just logging in to the computer.
Any of you have experience with this?
Is there an app, an extension, a tool I can download that will circumvent the dreaded MS BS?
Grateful for any guidance,
