Is further maths alevel needed for a physics degree?

Hey so i'm currently in year 11 and plan on doing a physics degree (possibly physics and philosophy) when i'm older.

i've planned to do chemisty, physics, maths and english lit/philosophy (haven't decided yet) but i just wanted to know if this is a good combination for what i wanted to do. i've spoken to a teacher about this and he said further maths is not needed and only normal maths is and any of the "harder stuff" would be taught to me at uni. i'm not 100% sure on this and want to make sure i'm making the right decision lol, especially because i plan on doing a PhD in this.

i picked english lit/philosophy only because i really enjoy the subject and practicing my essay writing skills seemed like a good thing to have and it would be a nice break from the STEM stuff. if i can avoid further maths i will as i don't find maths in general as interesting as physics but idk.

also sorry if this isn't the right place to post this on lol
